Summer Beach Trip




We had a wonderful time at the beach with BB & Grandpa and Uncle Matt, Aunt Sarah, Leyton, and Beckett!

Leyton is such a smart, cute little boy and he chased Sid around just about wherever. If you need to know anything about airplanes or Candy Land, he is your guy! Here he is helping bury Sidney in the sand. Note Sid's "I have sand everywhere expression."



Delaney and Beckett were quite a pair and often would sit as close as possible to each other, sometimes back-to-back, while playing separately with their own toys. According to a trusted source aka our resident pediatrician, "cooperative play" is a developmental milestone that is a few months out. : )







We took walks, found shells and shark teeth, swam, fished, took photos, and played games. Some of us (won't mention any names) ate little fistfuls of sand.

The family tradition that we each own planning, shopping, and cooking dinner is awesome! This year we had shrimp po boys with shrimp lfried rice, shrimp curry, grilled halibut with sweet potato fries, salmon cakes, ciopinno, and enchiladas with salsa verde.
Sid also went on a special lunch outing with BB and Grandpa to an old 50's diner.

There were unexpected adventures like a power outage and the AC going out, as well as some beach house shenanigans. We had so much fun, but by the end of the week, I think we felt like this:
