More than just the hotter weather in Austin (yes, high 90's already), are all of the fun things that signal the beginning of Summer: end of school, parties, BBQs, more time outside, summer camp, visits from friends, both of our birthdays, and trips out of town!
The other morning, Jeremy was traveling and I asked Sidney to watch Delaney so I could get ready. When I came back into the nursery to get her, here is how I found them. It was seriously one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. The best "Boba" ever.
Sid had some big milestones this month! He finished his first year of middle school with all A's and after a solid Spring season scoring goals as striker, has decided to continue with select soccer and basketball next fall. He was confirmed on May 1 at our church after 6 weeks of classes.
Here is one of Delaney's 7 month photos with Ellie. Our friend Heidii made her the "Wee Wood" onesie--too funny!

We took Delaney to her first class at Gymboree Saturday, and to say she loved it would be an understatement. The bubbles fascinated her and she loved being able to crawl all over the place and explore. A few times, she would move over and put her face as close as she possibly could without touching with another baby in the class. Hahahahaaa!
When it was parachute time, the teacher had the parents lift and lower it with all of the babies underneath in the middle. Each time, Delaney would let out the cutest laugh/happy squeal that made the other parents crack up.

One of the highlights of our month was a Top Chef themed dinner party we did for Jeremy's birthday. We had 3 other families over, and the challenge was to mix everyone up into new teams, draw for appetizer, side, main, or dessert, and then get to the store and back in 30 minutes. We fired up the grill, then shopped and cooked two teams at a time--the kicker was the dish had to be served on a stick. Everyone was a good sport and it was fun for all. We were able to do two of our favorite things--hang out with friends and eat!
We're looking forward to another good Summer and hope to escape the Austin heat a time or two. We really enjoyed visits so far from our friends Mark, Andrea, and cutie Sawyer on their way to the Kerrville Folk Festival and it was so so good to see my
good friend (LOL, she will get that one) Julie from Denver.
